 We welcome you to get in touch, so you can tell us about your concerns and we can answer any questions you may have. We can also tell you about our service.

We offer this first contact free of charge. This will enable you decide if you think our service can help your child.

Initial assessment and detailed report: £120

This appointment will include time talking to you about your child’s development and also an assessment of your child’s speech, language and communication.

The session will usually last up to 1 hour and will include some initial feedback to you about your child’s strengths and needs.

We will then write a detailed assessment report which you will receive within 10 working days.

Therapy session: £70

Sessions will normally last 45 minutes and we can see your child at home, nursery or school.

The therapy session fee includes planning, preparation and writing clinical records. Resources for home practice will also be supplied.

Reports and letters: £70 (hourly rate).

Any additional reports/letters which are needed as part of your child’s care will be charged at an hourly rate. We can also attend meetings and liaise with others, on your request and the same hourly rate will be charged. Any of the above will be agreed with you in advance.

Travelling costs

We are happy to travel up to 10 miles to you without charge. Distances greater than 10 miles will be charged at 50p per mile. Example; if you live 15 miles away the travel cost to you would be £5.00.


Fees can be paid by cash, cheque or direct bank transfer (BACS). You can pay on the day or within 5 working days following the appointment.

If you have private medical insurance or are a member of a hospital fund or scheme, you may be able to reclaim some of the costs of speech and language therapy.
