Since qualifying as a speech and language therapist in 1999, I have enjoyed working in a variety of roles. I have worked extensively with children and families, supporting all areas of speech, language and communication. This has included working in nurseries and schools, children’s centres and clinics. I have always taken great pride in the achievements and progress of the children I have worked with.
In addition to my clinical work, I have a number of years experience in training student speech and language therapists and I am currently a Senior Lecturer on the BSc (Hons) speech and language therapy course at Leeds Beckett University.
I have been fortunate to develop my practice through further study, clinical training and work with our professional body (RCSLT). I enjoy being able to use all of these experiences to support my work with other professionals, children and their families.
My professional values of integrity, commitment and conscientiousness have always shaped my work and I feel privileged to have worked with wonderful colleagues, students and families.
